Not at all, we have beginner friendly classes all the way up to advance classes.

Practice time and location varies depending on what class level you are at. For more information, please visit our Schedule and Location page.

There is a club member fee of $20. For new members, this helps cover the fee of a Gi. Fees are collected by our treasurer, Keren.

Either by registering on our mailing ListServ, emailing pennshotokankarateclub@gmail.com, you will receive weekly updates through email.

A good ol' t-shirt and sweatpants, leggings, or shorts should do the trick. We also take off our socks during practice. If you have Gi, then wear that for practice.

Usually, practices are 1.5 hours (90 minutes) long, but we may run overtime for special events or to stay for extra practice.

The ISKF Headquaters provides offical testing administerated by licensed examiners. When the team is ready, we will take a day to test at the ISKF Headquaters on 45th Street. Examiners will pass you based in criteria such as your demostarion of skill, technique, spirit, etc.. For more information, please visit the Belts and Ranks page.

All members are encouraged to register for and compete in tournaments if they'd like to. We try to send a group to ISKF Nationals annually and members individually compete in other tournaments throughout the year.
